SHORTLISTED & COMMENDED IN THE 2013 FREEFROM SKIN CARE AWARDS!

We are delighted to share with you that not one but THREE of our Pure Living SkinFoods have been both shortlisted AND Commended in the upcoming FreeFrom SkinCare Awards, due to be announced at the Allergy & FreeFrom Show at Olympia in early June!

Well done to Pure Natal Healing Balm, commended in the 'Mums-to-be' category, while Head to Toe Moisturiser for Men and Everybody Every Day Moisturiser have both been shortlisted for awards in the 'Men's Grooming' and 'Problem Skin' Categories. As we only entered these three products we are really quite pleased!

The shortlisted products will now be given a good month-long test by the discerning Beauty Bible panel before Janey Lee Grace will present the winners with their awards. Wish us luck!

FIRST PROFESSIONAL TRAINING WEEKEND IN SCOTLAND

We have just completed the first Live Native Professional Training weekend in Scotland. Held in Tay Street, Perth, six delegates from Accennto and Second Nature Salons attended the weekend. It was conducted by our co-founder and product designer Vicky Ewbank and our trainer Abigail James - Organic Therapist, gifted facialist and industry expert. They have become the first salons in Scotland to offer Live Native Signature Facials, Loving Hand and Fresh Feet treatments.

We are delighted that our move into the Spa and Salon professional market is proving to be such a success! Our Living Treatment Protocols, which are among the first in the world, can now be enjoyed in over a dozen select salons throughout the UK.

HILLSIDE ANIMAL SANCTUARY - NEW ADOPTIONS!

With your help this Christmas we managed to raise £40 for Hillside Animal Sanctuary! (See story below.) We've decided to give a little more ourselves, so after a quick office whip-around we now have £50... which means that we can adopt 5 of their beautiful guests!

INTRODUCING OUR NEW LUSCIOUS LIP BALM

We all know how winter dries even the prettiest of lips, and living on the Isle of Skye we know that better than most!

So in order to be fully prepared for the coming winter we thought it would be a good idea to get out the trusty blender once again and whizz up a really delicious - and truly effective - raw lip balm! By blending the finest Ecuadorian raw cacao butter with antioxidant rich white tea and rosehip extracts, and adding just a drop of organic orange oil and vanilla (think healthy Terry's chocolate orange) and that's what we got - magic!

We have a few other flavours in mind for later... peppermint, earl grey tea (bergamot). If you have any requests for us to consider then do email us and let us know!

We love to give and up until the 22nd December we're giving £2.50 from every order we receive through our shop to Hillside Animal Sanctuary, to adopt as many of their little critters as we can.

Hillside Animal Sanctuary is based in Norwich and was founded in 1995 by Wendy Valentine. It is now a home to nearly 2000 rescued animals of all shapes and sizes, although most come from the factory farming industry. Many of these animals have experienced terrible cruelty and neglect and it is only with the tremendous love and care they receive from Hillside that they are able to live the remainder of their lives in peace and comfort. As animal lovers ourselves we are filled with admiration and respect for the work that Wendy and her team do and, with your help, are very happy to be able to send them some well needed funds to help feed and care for their many charges this winter.

The lovely eco warrior-ess Janey Lee Grace gave us a big 'thumbs up' with her new Platinum Awards. She voted our Essential Woman with frangipani as the best natural moisturiser for 2011 - Thanks Janey!

Janey Lee Grace is the writer of the best selling book Imperfectly Natural Woman and is often touring the UK to advice on how to green up your life and home. She also appears frequently on Radio 2 with Steve Wright. Janey champions many organic and natural companies who produce a diverse range of fabulous products, and we fought off some stiff competition to be voted her favourite natural and organic facial moisturiser.
